Celebration Dulcimer Club of Leesburg
This club is open to Mountain Dulcimers, Hammered Dulcimers, and other Acoustic Instruments. The purpose of this group is to play Gospel Music as a club. The Repertoire will consist of various Gospel Hymns found in hymnals and handed down from family as well as uplifting, spiritual, or inspiring songs. Meetings will be the first Thursday of each month from 6pm to 8pm.

First Saturday Gatherings
Musicians of all types meet on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 2pm for a free gathering of Native American Flute players along with other instruments like guitars, dulcimers and drums. Jam sessions, sharing the love of music with visitors who stop by the gallery, and sometimes even snacks create a fun environment perfect for anyone with an interest in meeting new friends.

HeARTfully Living Community Drum Circle
HeARTfully Living Community Drum circle is an expansion of the HeARTful Living Programs facilitated by Vai'Datha, an expressive arts company that focuses on community, connection, and expression through, art, rhythm, and movement. Held the first Saturday of every month from 1:00-3:00 PM, the semi-structured community drum circle brings the community together through rhythm. This space is for beginners to advanced and all drums, percussion, and other instruments are welcome. The circle is structured with light facilitation by founder/creator Jenenne Valentino-Bottaro and her co-creators. This circle forms a community through authentic rhythms.

Riverwind Flute Circle
For beginners to advanced, we have a facilitator who guides the music-making at this monthly Flute Circle. Instruction is offered as needed, along with activities centered on musicality, history and world music. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 6pm.

Pastel Society of Central Florida Meetings and Demos
The PSCF meets monthly on the second Saturday of the month to fellowship with other pastel artists and to learn from guest demonstrators. The PSCF hosts several member exhibits throughout the year and presents a Workshop Series. The first membership meeting for the year will be held Saturday, September 10 at 10:00am at the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

“Songs of Summer” Gallery Exhibit and Meet the Artists Reception
Members of Pastel Society of Central Florida present “Songs of Summer.” As we say goodbye to summertime, we celebrate the songs, lyrics, people, places and activities from our summer experiences. This is the grown up version of your teacher asking on the first day of school to write about “what you did this summer.” There will be a Meet the Artists reception on Saturday, October 8 at 7pm in our gallery. The exhibit will be from September 12 through October 27, 2016. Gallery hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

Artist’s Way Alumni Meet Up
On the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7 to 9pm, all former participants in the Central Florida Artist’s Way sessions are invited to gather in an informal setting for various activities that will help to keep connected with your Artist’s Way tribe!

Plein Aire Painters of Leesburg
Plein Aire Painting Group meets to paint and sketch on location at interesting places in and around Leesburg. Artists of all levels and media are welcome to enjoy the synergy of working with other artists. Jump start your creativity and motivation and get new ideas by joining the group. Meet at 9am on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

Figure Drawing for Adults
These moderator led sessions feature a live model each Monday evening from 7 to 9pm in the Art Education Center at the Leesburg Center for the Arts. Fall Season will run from September 19 to October 24. Each session is $10 per student and no advanced registration is required.

Get Social!
Painting Parties Sip a little, paint a little…and get ready to enjoy the relaxing experience of canvas painting. Even if you have never held a paintbrush before, you will walk away with a piece of art you will be proud of and you'll have a great time with new friends! Held on the third or fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the Art Education Center of the Leesburg Center for the Arts, each individual session is $30.

Leesburg Art Association Membership Meetings and Demos
The Leesburg Art Association meets monthly between September and May on the fourth Saturday of the month to fellowship with other artists and to learn from guest demonstrators. The LAA hosts several exhibits throughout the year and presents the Leesburg Art Association Workshop Series in the Art Education Center of the Leesburg Center for the Arts. The first membership meeting for the year will be held Saturday, September 24 at 1:00pm at the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

“Art…Making a Living and a Life”
An empowering 8 week class dedicated to the emerging and mid-career artist looking to live a full creative life, while making an income, managing their business and maintaining a marvelous creative soul! We will take a good hard look at the obstacles that have kept us from pursuing the creative career you were meant to have. We will redefine creative success and look at how to achieve it. And, however awkward….we will explore, explain and simplify the bookkeeping, taxes and business of the creative career. You will leave here with the confidence and the tools to move into the creative life you have always dreamed about! Sessions are every Wednesday from September 28 to November 16 from 7 to 9pm each night. Register for $30 by calling 352-365-0232.

Open Studio Sessions
Member Artists invite you to join them in a series of Open Studio Sessions from September 23 to November 4 from 10am to 2pm each Friday. Participants will have an opportunity to create on your own, experiment with new techniques and materials or participate in informative “art basics” sessions covering topics such as the Elements of Art and Live Model Drawing Sessions. Finding Your Sole
Come experience the fusion of art. All local adult artists will be invited to produce and experience poetry, art, and music together. All participants, who share similar fears and anxieties, are able to use art as an outlet for their emotions with no limitations. Open mic performances on stage, along with attendees participating in expressive painting on shoes and other surfaces bring together this “Finding Your Sole” experience on Saturday, October 1 at 7pm.

Big Blue Bus Mobile Art Studio
Get ready to Embrace Art in Action and Join the professional artist instructors from our Art Education Center and Artists with a Purpose for free make and take art projects at Berry Park on Wednesday, October 26 from 10am to 12pm.

Beast Feast
Under the oaks of the historic Mote Morris House, this all you can eat feast features a great variety of exotic and unusual meats along with sides, beverages, and live entertainment. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Thursday, October 27 from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
