From meeting real life local artists to learning about famous artists from art history, students will explore and learn new things as they create beautiful works of art at the 2016 Rotary Summer Art Institute at the Leesburg Center for the Arts. Classes include clay, painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media for ages 4 to 18.

High School artists will enjoy a week long study with a professional artist instructor on June 13 to June 17 from 10am to 5pm each day. Students with an interest in art will discover their unique artistic independence, the mysteries of combining art mediums, and the wonder and pride in serious artistic challenges. $150 per student.

* Middle School Creative Arts Camp for students who have just completed 6th to 8th grades is a week long visual arts camp June 20 to June 24 from 10am to 5pm each day. Students will have sketchbook exercises, plein air painting trips, and some serious sculpture building projects. So follow our professional artist instructors to a new creative place and make friends who like art as much as you do. $150 per student. SOLD OUT

"Art Camp" for Preschool boys and girls ages 4 to 5 will learn techniques made famous by Kandinsky, Degas and more, all while simulating the fun of the magical world of camping in the great outdoors. Students will have the opportunity to gaze at Van Gogh’s Starry Night, discover Matisse’s Leaves and devote themselves to becoming serious artists in our fresh and fun studios! Preschool camps are July 11 to July 15 from 9am to 12pm each day. $75 per student.

* "Art Camp" for Early Elementary boys and girls who have just completed Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades will learn techniques made famous by Kandinsky, Degas and more, all while simulating the fun of the magical world of camping in the great outdoors. Students will have the opportunity to gaze at Van Gogh’s Starry Night, discover Matisse’s Leaves and devote themselves to becoming serious artists in our fresh and fun studios! Early Elementary camps are July 18 to July 22 from 9am to 12pm each day. $75 per student. SOLD OUT
